How do I get started?After initial contact is made through phone or email, our office manager will contact you within 48 hours. She will send you the necessary paperwork and schedule an intake with one of our licensed therapists.

How do I know if my child needs an OT evaluation and/or treatment?If a parent or caregiver recognizes delays or immaturities; if a family becomes centered around the child's needs/demands; if the child has difficulty with peer interaction, has a low frustration tolerance, or demonstrates oppositional behavior. If a medical professional recommends an OT evaluation. If concerns are brought by a teacher (i.e. motor, sensory, behavioral, self-regulatory, handwriting, feeding, attention).

How long does evaluation take?Our evaluations are typically conducted over one or two 2-hour sessions where the child completes a series of developmental movements, reflex testing, motor proficiency testing, visual motor testing and standardized testing.

How long should I expect to receive a finalized written report?Evaluations are typically completed in 7-10 business days; however, they have been known to take up to 14 days depending on the complexity and workload of the therapist.

Do you have a waitlist?We occasionally have waitlists for “prime time” slots (4-6pm) but we always have slots during the day if you are more flexible.

Do you have weekend and evening hours?We are open until 7:00pm Monday-Thursday and until 6:00pm on Fridays. We are closed on the weekend.

Do we have the same appointment time and therapist each week?Yes, it is most therapeutic to be the same therapist each week and you will have the same appointment time. If a make-up is warranted due to illness or family emergency we will do our best to reschedule or find a therapist to fill in.

Is it true you have a therapy dog?Yes. We have a certified therapy dog at our office! To learn more about our facility dog, please visit our animal-assisted therapy page. If you have any questions or concerns about our therapy dog, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Are siblings and or parents welcome in the therapy sessions?Parents are always welcome. We believe family participation is crucial for your child’s progress and continued success. Siblings are not typically involved in therapy sessions unless this family dynamic is a primary concern.

Do you offer any other services?Currently at this time we only offer occupational therapy, but our therapists are happy to provide recommendations for other professional services.
