Heidi joined the TWFK team in September 2019. Heidi’s thoroughness and dedication to learning the interests of her clients often means readily incorporating relevant pop culture phenomena into her sessions, such as setting the latest kids’ movie soundtrack as the background for coordination activities or substituting less-exciting visual materials for popular trading cards during ocular motor exercises. Heidi’s passion for supporting children and their families as they transition through the lifespan stems from personal experience, as she has an adult brother with autism spectrum disorder and intellectual differences.
Heidi graduated from Thomas Jefferson University with a Bachelors of Science in Occupation and Health and a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy.
Prior to joining our team, Heidi gained experience working with child ages 0-21 in the pediatric outpatient setting at the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Maryland. Heidi holds certifications in Therapeutic Listening ® , Learning Without Tears K-5, Talk Tools Feeding Therapy: A Sensory Motor Approach, and foundations for Neurodevelopmental Treatment.
When Heidi is not in the clinic, you can find her spending time with her beloved pets, Toto and Salem, both named for famous animals! Heidi is also a talented painter, her favorite muse? You guessed it: her pets!
